I am incredibly grateful to Matt Kaufman for hosting me on #thefamilybusiness podcast. I loved our conversation, and I'm honored by your kind words and support. Thank you for all that you do for stroke patients and their families. Family has always been my greatest motivation. My parents' journey and their relentless pursuit of excellence have been the cornerstone of my drive. It was a privilege to share this story and the innovative work we're doing at StrokeDx with you and your audience. I want to give a special shoutout to my co-founder, Shane Shahrestani, MD, PhD, whose brilliance and dedication have been instrumental in our journey. Together, we aim to revolutionize #stroke care with our novel, portable, affordable technology. Thank you, Matt, for your encouragement and for highlighting the importance of family, innovation, and the future of healthcare. #neurovascular #family #medtech #medtechinnovator #MTI #healthcare #innovation #StrokeDx

I love people that use family as their fuel. The sacrifices that their parents and siblings made is the reason why these individuals strive for greatness. It may be one of the purest motivations on the planet. Had an extraordinary conversation with Alex Ballatori on #thefamilybusiness podcast. He is everything you could want in a family member, student, friend and entrepreneur. His technology developed along with his Cofounder Shane Shahrestani, MD, PhD is a dramatic bounce in innovation with the #stroke space. His company is StrokeDx. You may be familiar with it as he and Shane were the MedTech Innovator winners last year out of 1200 entrants. 1200. His parents came to the US with little of anything. They noticed at a university mixer that they both had Italian last names. The rest is history. He went on to become a PhD changing the pharmaceutical world as he developed an understanding of how the body absorbs fats. His mother went on to become a hand surgeon and a #medtech entrepreneur. The way he talks about his family in this clip is what makes me and apparently everyone root for him. His technology is transforming how stroke is diagnosed. Advanced hand held technology that is affordable for all hospitals. Using magnets in a novel way, their approach allows for detecting where a stroke is located in as fast as 1 minute. Life saving device in every way. Cannot recommend getting to know him and his company any higher. If this is our future in healthcare, I will take it. Emerging leaders like Alex are all that is good about our industry. The full conversation is in the comments. Watch it. #neurovascular #family
