Can your well handle the pressure of a refrac? Wells with degraded casing due to age, corrosive fluids, mechanical wear, ovality, or damage may need a tieback string to handle refrac pressures. However, tieback strings are a significant cost and not always necessary. Modern burst calculations such as Effective Area utilize the data from DarkVision's high-resolution acoustic imaging to provide a much more accurate burst pressure calculation. As a result, wells can often be safely refractured at higher pressures, without a tieback string, and without risking the parent casing. Burst pressure testing at PatriaComposite.hr Hydraulic testing is used to determine the strength of the composite cylinder type 4. One of the first parameters required is the burst pressure of a cylinder to align the theoretical burst pressure, gained by software modelling, with the real burst pressure. Equipment designed and produced by KTITOR. #hydrogen #pressurevessel #composite #filamentwinding #technology #cfrp

Electric power generation companies aim to optimize the performance of aging boilers and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) while minimizing life cycle costs. Various factors, including metallurgical risks and in-service failure mechanisms, impact boiler pressure components. Comprehensive evaluations, incorporating visual inspection, nondestructive evaluation (NDE), and destructive examination techniques, are essential to identify failure mechanisms, assess conditions, and estimate future component replacements. While certain boiler components can endure their design life without failure, the choice of inspection methods must consider risks, practicality, and cost-effectiveness. Boiler tube failures (BTF) are a major cause of forced outages, necessitating proactive and effective inspections. Useful inspection methods for utility boiler tubing include in-service sensory observations, visual inspections, magnetic particle examination (MT), liquid penetrant examination (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMATS). Proactive practices, such as visual inspections and targeted UT measurements, can effectively manage tube failure risk and reduce forced outages. COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS - #CFD An #heat exchanger is a system used to transfer heat between a source and a working #fluid. Heat exchangers are used in both cooling and heating processes. The fluids may be separated by a solid wall to prevent #mixing, or they may be in direct contact. They are widely used in space heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, power stations, chemical plants, #petrochemical plants, #petroleum refineries, natural-gas processing, and sewage treatment. In a shell-and-#tube heat exchanger, two fluids at different temperatures flow through the heat #exchanger. One of the fluids flows through the tube side and the other fluid flows outside the tubes, but inside the shell (#shell side). In the slide below it can be seen a steady state analysis performed on a heat exchanger using CFX software. #CFD #CFX #ANSYS

Static vs dynamic flow reactors EXPLAINED! Mixing in the Coflore systems is generated through mechanical stirrers! This differs from static flow reactors, where the pump provides the energy for radial mixing and blending. A mechanical stirrer avoids the requirement for high fluid velocity. This makes the Coflore range ideal for slower reactions and multiphase reactions where sufficient mixing is not reliant on fast reactions or fluid velocity. It also removes the risk of bypassing and back-mixing entirely! Through multiple stirred tanks in a series and interstage channels, AM Technology has advanced on the typical single-tube CSTR design. The ACR is the most cost-effective way to deploy dynamic mixing 😎 https://bit.ly/3zEWbbw #flowchemistry #flowreactors #continuousmanufacturing

Hydraulic mixing is critical when utilizing frac tanks in the oil and gas industry as a mobile water storage solution. An improved hydraulic mixing can lead to a more efficient treatment system. To model the hydraulic characteristics, we set up the simulation with a scalar model to visualise the mixing. Together with streamlined plots and other advanced post-processing tools, it is easy to analyze an open-top tank with such a configuration.
