Another successful year for the 31st annual Saint Dominic's Family Services Golf Tournament! With the help of our amazing community, we are pleased to share that over $400K was raised at this year's outing. These funds will directly impact and improve the lives of so many families. Thank you to all who attended & of course to my fellow committee members including Structure Tone's own Michael Farrell!

Hi colleagues, have you ever wanted to see how you can leverage the dreaded school fundraisers as an intentional way to build leadership skills for your kids? I'll share with you what I'm doing with my daughter in this first public event they are doing.
Normally I shy away from these as I don't like peddling for money for kids fundraising. I love supporting others and tend to do that instead of asking for your engagement. I'm realizing that's not a great relationship and need to do better.
So instead, I'm going to use this event to help my daughter learn leadership skills. Through this challenge I'll be focusing on the following:
1) Creating presence and personal brand identity
2) Having a personal vision, mission and values to work towards
3) Enjoying the process, measuring growth, and setting new goals
Would like to learn yourself for you and your kids? Or would you like to just support me in using this to help my daughter?
You can use the ways below to join in, and if you donate the ridiculous amount of $100 or more, I'll schedule a half hour coaching session with you on how you can also do the same thing for yourself as I'm doing for Charlotte.
To just help the cause, even a dollar would do. Here are a few ways you can join:
1) Click on this link and donate straight through the website: https://lnkd.in/gs4s-wwj
2) Save yourself the hassle or registering, and venmo me: @jimhlee I'll be sure to put your name in the support page and any notes you want to share to Charlotte,
3) Just text, DM, or leave a comment below that you're in and to contact you
Thanks again for your support, and as the video says, watch for a follow up that will share all the results.
Have a great day!

The Spring Budget brings good news for the charitable occupation of vacant commercial units. Adjusting the reoccupation period that triggers the empty rate clock from 6 weeks to 3 months, means that the legal but unethical rates avoidance strategies of some companies are less attractive. This gave charities such as East Street Arts an advantage over these schemes. These schemes over a 12-month period can only deliver a 50% reduction, as our model can deliver 40%-20% over the same period whilst also delivering social value and placemaking.
If you have a vacant commercial property and want to support your local community while saving on costs, get in touch.
It’s a scary thing changing your status to “Open to Work” but after nearly 18 years of working for developmentplus leading it for 10 years, I’ve made the difficult decision to step down as CEO. It’s fair to say, charities are really struggling at the moment, particularly when it comes to core funding, and in all honesty I’m running out of steam.
I’m not going anywhere straight away as l navigate my next steps, and developmentplus is still very much my priority… small steps .. status changed ✅

Sometimes you launch a product and it just works exactly how you wanted it to. That's been the case with our outsourced fundraising function, with more and more charities choosing to outsource to VMC Consulting. And why wouldn't they?
✅ It's a simple monthly fee, which will never change
✅ It's far cheaper than employing someone
✅ You don't have to worry about line management, getting people up to speed, or performance management
✅ It's a monthly rolling contract, limiting your liability, and not tying you into a long term deal
Charity CEOs have more than enough on their plates, and money is usually in their top 3 concerns. With the charities who outsource their funding to us, that's one less thing for the CEO to worry about.
“The world of a fundraiser can be exceedingly complicated. For those readers who have explored game theory, think of every prospective donor as a multi-iteration actor whose own choices and preferences are hard to know. Add to the complexity the needs and expectations of bosses and boards, and one can quickly see how challenging the work can be. With increasing noise, distraction, and choice added to the equation, the difficulty of making the right choices becomes clear.”
