Enjoyed visiting the Retail Technology Show this week. Some great talks that raised some themes that link nicely to the work we are doing in the sector: - Forward-thinking retailers are building AI-powered sandboxes: don't be afraid to trial new ideas, be dynamic and be prepared to adjust your strategy accordingly - Crucial to link tech and data initiatives to business improvement and join up functional teams to create buy-in to change - Value Creation is not just about financial improvement there is huge benefit in understanding your customers and using this knowledge to strengthen the relationship with them - Increasing customer frequency is the route to exponential benefit - Sustainability linked to everything retailers do and it is crucial to look for the win-wins around supply chain efficiency, waste reduction and importantly understanding the link between customers' desire to be sustainable vs their appetite to pay extra to do it!
