Unravelling the history and the stories within interesting and unique spaces is at the heart of our award-winning hospitality designs. This is the magic that connects the owners, the chef and the venue to their guests, and contributes towards delivering a memorable dining or drinking experience.  We achieve this through considered material choices, commissioned bespoke artisan pieces, and through careful selection of objects and artefacts. The Libertine, an iconic and prestigious Grade-I listed space in the vaults of the Royal Exchange in the City of London, offered us many rich pickings from its incredible 453 year old history to do just that. That’s why we chose to source and manage the procurement and installation of the entire styling package for our client Incipio Group - to help give each area with the 7000 square feet space, its own unique personality. Creating moments of surprise and delight, we felt, would do this beautiful space the justice it deserved.   ⭐ Which is why the second the guests walk into the street level entrance they’re transported into another world; a recreated antique shop, that’s full of equine-related artefacts. We sourced and styled all these pieces in homage to Queen Elizabeth I’s love of horses (she opened the Exchange in 1571 and gave it the first royal status to serve alcohol in Britain). This intriguing entry sets the scene for what’s below down the spiral staircase in the vaults. ⭐ Here, a small arched space just off the main bar, also gave us the perfect opportunity to push the styling a bit further and reconnect the venue back to its origins. And as Apothecaries (old fashioned pharmacies) existed within the Royal Exchange in the past, we wanted to bring one to life. Taking our cues from the Apothecaries of the past we designed a bespoke joinery unit to create a medicine cabinet and then sourced over a hundred antique medicine bottles and other related medical equipment. This multi-award winning venue succeeds in bringing the Royal Exchange's past into the present through a well researched and considered design concept and unique styling approach, delighting both our client and their many guests. ➡ We'd love to talk to you about designing unique spaces that reflect their past while reimagining their future - please get in touch to find out more! #hospitalitydesign #awardwinningdesign  #londondesign  #bardesign  #restaurantdesign  #styling  #interiorstyling  #designstorytelling  #BIIDinterioroftheyear
