New Project Alert! Part of a new multi-building development just on the fringes of Victoria’s bustling downtown core, Nest and Haven have employed innovative approaches that contribute to the solution for Victoria’s housing challenges. Haven is a six-storey low-rise building offering rental suites incorporating the Chard aesthetic, while its high-rise sibling, Nest, offers a unique purchasing offer to potential buyers, matching down payments up to 10%. Nest is fully air conditioned and contains commercial space on the ground floor in a high traffic area of town. It also has on the second floor a daycare space that can accommodate approximately 50 children, providing some relief to that much-needed service. The two buildings, along with a third existing building – the Victoria Professional Building - share a common parkade, which introduced unique challenges during design as it introduced high-rise requirements into a low-rise design. As a result, unlike typical low-rise buildings, Haven incorporates advanced smoke control measures both above and below grade.
