As part of this high #tech client’s 17-building, 70-acre East Campus expansion in Redmond, #Washington, we designed permanent installations for four buildings enhancing the everyday workplace experience. In one building, the bright central atriums celebrate the history of computing through a series of dimensional wall installations. On the top floor, a shimmering installation made up of faceted blocks represents the #pixels of today’s digital screens. Hundreds of angled faces are covered with a dynamic dichroic surface, bouncing light as you move along the wall, bringing the static wall to life. The dimensional #installations all extend down the adjacent corridors as custom printed #wallpaper #graphics mirroring each pattern as a glossy print on a matte background.
