Yet another article on restaurant acoustics! We collaborated with The Washington Post on this piece about noise in restaurants, which raises many issues concerning noise in restaurants, and their effects on both guests and workers. We provided them with simulations of a restaurant with different acoustic conditions: untreated, acoustic panels on walls and ceiling, separators between tables. The article also includes a 3D billiard animation we provided to to visualize how sound propagates in these different scenarios, and how it is attenuated. Animation is just like cooking. You may find one kind of dish prepared by many chefs. Even though it's the same dish, different preparation methods can lead to the same dish having a different taste while having the same appearance and name. Similarly, you might find an animation scene beautifully crafted, but if you show it to someone else, they might think it needs some added details (spices) to suit their personal taste. Another might find it excellent or feel it just needs a bit of salt. There’s no ceiling for expectations… every taste has its sweetness and distinct flavor.

Limonata Dubai 🍋 One of our favourite lemon cases. Why do we love it? It's vibrant, cheerful, and our clients love it. Not a typical storyline, where we had to convey the atmosphere of an Italian restaurant in Dubai. We filmed a drive along two roads leading to the restaurant, added lemons, and an old Italian car. So what's the result? It turned out to be a wonderful example of how to create unconventional content for a restaurant, using indirect elements and attributes, not just focusing on the location https://lnkd.in/daMbTrsb
