A Mean-Field Game of Market Entry “We consider both N-player and mean-field games of optimal portfolio liquidation in which the players are not allowed to change the direction of trading. Players with an initially short position of stocks are only allowed to buy while players with an initially long position are only allowed to sell the stock. Under suitable conditions on the model parameters we show that the games are equivalent to games of timing where the players need to determine the optimal times of market entry and exit. We identify the equilibrium entry and exit times and prove that equilibrium mean-trading rates can be characterized in terms of the solutions to a highly non-linear higher-order integral equation with endogenous terminal condition. We prove the existence of a unique solution to the integral equation from which we obtain the existence of a unique equilibrium both in the mean-field and the N-player game.” https://lnkd.in/gRBPTVZA

For 30 years, the GTA has been working with governments to ensure a vibrant, responsible and sustainable gaming entertainment industry for players and customers. This partnership marks a milestone in both organisations' missions to drive and develop sustainable and forward-thinking policies that align with the evolving regulatory landscape both in Victoria and Australia. Some really welcome calls and stakes in the ground from Ukie - The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment in their Video Games Industry Manifesto. Great work Daniel Wood and co. Our work at Into Games has helped shape some of this, and I'm personally very proud to have spearheaded work over the last twelve months to research the need and call for a national games skills fund - some of which you can still read over at GamesIndustry.Biz. It's great to see this become a bigger part of the discourse now, and publicly backed by the UK trade body. Without proper investment in skills at every level we can't solve the huge, growing challenges around diversity, training, leadership, and talent at every level of seniority. The pipeline is broken! A Digital Creativity GCSE will really help equip young people with the tools needed to understand the sector, but without fair, adequate and equitable pathways into and through those roles, we will only perpetuate the challenges and let down thousands of talented young people.
