It's hiring season! Let's go! Although districts are managing teacher shortages, here are 3 tips for hiring great candidates who will help enhance your school community 💙 #school #teacher #hiring

Who, in their right mind, would pass over hiring a teacher?! 🤯 I do not have a background in education, but I do recognize greatness when I see it. Can we acknowledge that teachers possess a patience, work ethic, determination, and heart that is rarely rolled up into a single person?! Let's examine the attributes of a teacher: 🔎 🏫 Willing to work after specified work hours on a daily basis 🏀 Volunteering to work at evening events for free 📞 Handling all customer service (parents) on lunch breaks and evenings 💰 Spending own money on basic classroom materials and all special activities 😷 Working in poor environments (viruses, snot, body odor, shootings, etc) 📰 Turning in lesson plans to prove the quality of their work 😴 Their work being assessed by test score of (often tired and hungry) students 👨💼 Subject to random drop-ins from administrators at any time 💔 Being passionate about their work at the expense of their own mental health 👔 Bearing the burden of responsibility of the future of our children and society 😠 Being ridiculed by parents and media for being too liberal or conservative 💲0️⃣ And last but definitely not least, being GROSSLY UNDERPAID!! And I've not even mentioned the actual teaching that they are hired for! This is a superb employee, folks. It's your loss to not hire them. What am I missing from this list? Any tips on how teaching experience translate into business, tech, finance, etc? (P.S. I know teachers that love their jobs despite all this, and that's why I mentioned greatness above lol) 💪

MAJOR FUNCTION: Instructional Presentation The teacher begins lesson or instructional activity with a review of previous materials; introduces the lesson or instructional activity and specific learning objectives when appropriate; speaks fluently and precisely; presents the lesson or instructional activity using concepts and language understandable to the students; provides relevant examples and demonstrations to illustrate concepts and skills; assigns tasks that students handle with a high rate of success; asks appropriate levels of questions that students handle with a high rate of success; conducts lesson or instructional activity at a brisk pace, slowing presentations when necessary for student understanding but avoiding slowdowns; makes transitions between lessons and between instructional activities within lessons efficiently and smoothly; makes sure that the assignment is clear; summarizes the main point
