Hello guys, I am extremely delighted to announce that I have started a new position as technical trainee at Zoho I was selected through on-campus drive from Zoho at Sri Sairam Engineering College conducted for 2 days on June 1st week. There was a total of 5 rounds - Aptitude round, Short Coding, Application Design, Technical Interview and HR Interview. 1. Aptitude Round: There were a total of 20 non-MCQ questions, 10 from aptitude and 10 based on finding the output from C programming. A total of 75 minutes was given to solve them using pen/paper. Although not hard, almost all of the 20 questions indeed had some trick/twist in them. Almost 1600+ students attended this round. 2. Short Coding: This round had 2 sets, where the 1st set contained 2 questions and 2nd set had 3 questions. The questions were based on pattern printing, HashMap and Dynamic Programming. I was able to solve and explain all 5 questions in time. Around 240 students attended this round. 3. Application Design(Long Coding): This round contained exactly one question that must be designed within 3 hours. Around 50 students were selected for this round. The question was to efficiently design a Invoice Management application that satisfies certain specific functionalities/requirements. Design and code must be explained to the assigned mentor and there was one mentor for every 3 students. Around 1.5 hours was allocated to design the application and another 1.5 hours was allocated for developing the same using code. My solution code: https://lnkd.in/gErBzFT2 4. Technical Interview: A total of 17 people were selected for the technical interview. She asked me various questions from concepts like DBMS, database design for the application from 3rd round, explanation of code from 2nd round, SQL queries, aptitude, questions from my resume, etc. The interview lasted for around an hour. Although I had a bad start, I was able to answer most of the questions and clear this round as well. 5. HR Interview. This interview only lasted for 15 minutes and basic questions like CTC expectations were asked and no one was eliminated. Zoho cheatsheet: https://lnkd.in/gEThAgE5 The selected student results were declared the same day and offer letters were sent a month later. A huge thanks to Zoho and Sairam-Institutions-placement for giving this opportunity and making the experience swift and smooth. #placement #zoho #internship #interviewexperience

100+ companies rejected me before I got my first internship at Salesforce. Here are 5 tips for anyone aspiring to land their first job/internship. Context: In April 2017, I received my admission letter from Columbia University. Almost exactly a year later, in April 2018, I got an offer from Salesforce for a summer internship as a Technical Program Manager. On many levels, getting this offer was much harder. As the job market has become even more competitive in 2024, here are my 5 tips for you: ✅ Stand out: Too many students these days use ChatGPT and the likes to craft "messages to request referrals." As someone who receives these messages every week now, let me tell you that it's so obvious and a huge turn-off. Write the message yourself! And instead of asking, "Hey, I'm graduating soon and need a referral. Can I have a 30-minute call with you?" Say, "Hey, I have all these skills and am passionate about this topic. I see you are too. Could I help you with anything you're working on?" People rarely get the latter message, and you'll automatically become a diamond in the rough. ✅ Take courses with a project component: Focus on acquiring skills relevant to the job role you're looking to get. I took a ton of courses around programming and product management since my background was in research as an undergrad. Focus on taking courses that help you work on practical projects that you can speak about during interviews. ✅ Get good at follow-ups: It's easy to go from one coffee chat to the next. It's harder to do follow-ups with the people you meet consistently. Make a sheet of people you're meeting who you want to keep in touch with. Use Google Sheets, Notion, Zoho, or Google Keep to keep track of all applications. And actively follow up to share updates with them on what's happening. Build a relationship and not just a transaction. ✅ Strategize every week: It’s very easy to lose focus in the process. Get into a rut of just applying for jobs every day without knowing what’s working and what’s not. Make sure to set aside at least 30 minutes/week to take a step back, and re-strategise. ✅ Don't be married to FAANGs: Yes, it's awesome to get a job at Google or Meta. But don't let that stop you from applying to the 100+ startups and SMEs where you can have a great career, and learn fast. Apply to all firms including startups, find mentors, and use all job alerts. Lastly, don't lose hope. When I came to the U.S., my goal was to receive an offer by December. And then it changed to January. And then to February. And then to March. Finally, it happened in April. Most students don't fail to get a job offer. They simply quit before they reach the finish line. ... Please re-share this post so it helps more people!🙏 Finally, if you’re an immigrant in America, join 15000+ who get my weekly newsletter packed with free resources like this: https://lnkd.in/gXzfuj74 :) #unshackled #students #jobs

If your first response to reading about this Micro-Internship Program is, "I'm not sure how eager my boss or I would be about having some rando in our prod org." Then, let me set you straight, you don't have to put your org at risk. I get it, maybe you have never taken on an intern before and, frankly, it's a little scary because you just don't know how it would work. Here's what one company is planning: "I’ve got the green light to move forward with this. Seems like an incredible opportunity to get some of the newbie-friendly work I’ve got in the backlog done at low risk and NO COST. We’re planning to give them a use case to develop in a sandbox, so they won’t even need access to our production environment. When all is said and done, we can either choose to promote their work to production or not…all without risk of losing money for the business. I’m looking forward to giving back to the community and hopefully helping someone get a leg up into the industry." Hope this helps! Please share Bradley Rice's post and program link with your network and talk to your company. You can truly change lives here! ❤️ 🙏 💪 The deadline for submissions is May 10th, so get a wiggle on! ⏳😅 Oh, and--in case you were wondering--the host company can be from anywhere in the world. 🌍 😍 👍 #saleforce #salesforcecareers #internship

I strongly agree with this. Are you feeling overwhelmed in the Salesforce world ? why are you not considering interns to delegate your jobs! Personally, I feel Intern are great way to lighten your load, grow your network, and support the next generation. So hey, If there’s anything I can do for you in the salesforce ecosystem, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s connect and bring some joy to our professional journey. Let's discuss! #Salesforce #Interns #Networking #salesforceintern #salesforcejob
Passionate Advocate for Salesforce Users | 5x Certified | Admin | Consultant | Business Analyst | UX Designer | AI Associate | M.S. Educational Psychology
Are you juggling multiple obligations within the Salesforce ecosystem and being challenged to manage them all? You're not alone! Many of us are in the same boat, building relationships and giving advice to potential clients and future partners. But have you considered delegating a few tasks to interns? In states where incorporating is simple and low-cost (I'm currently in Alabama), incorporating and taking on interns may be a great way to free up some time while cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners while supporting freshers available to do solutioning. I have set a personal intention to have interns and support freshers once I get my consultancy going, but maybe sooner is better than later! As someone who hasn't even had their first FT salaried role in the Salesforce ecosystem, I am frankly surprised to be balancing so many obligations. But incorporating and taking on interns now may be a great way to grow my network and build my future business. ⁉️What are your thoughts on this? ⁉️Is this idea hare-brained? ⁉️Have you considered delegating tasks to interns? I'm not sure what else to do here, as just being helpful in the ecosystem has become a FT role! That said, please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do for you. It genuinely brings joy!
