Finding a recruitment agency IS NOT hard. Finding a recruitment agency that promises fast results IS NOT hard. Finding a recruitment agency that promises to care IS NOT hard. A quick Google search will yield hundreds of agencies making the same promises. KonnectU is no different. We promise fast results, dedication to our clients, and all the usual clichés. So, how do you choose? Why choose? Aren't they all the same? Why not just pick the first one you see? You can, and we wouldn't blame you. But here's the truth: Finding a qualified candidate IS hard. Finding a qualified candidate fast IS hard. Fulfilling a promise to care IS hard. So again, how do you choose? Why choose? Because there's a difference between promises and deliverables. Some really do care more than others. But how can you tell? This is where most would repeat their promises, but we've already said we make the same ones. Instead, we suggest doing a bit more research. Don't just rely on a quick Google search—talk to the agencies. Speak with their people, their recruiters, their clients. Ask yourself and any salespeople the same questions you would when making any big purchase. Trust your head and your gut. We hope this leads you to us. If not, we still wish you success. 🌞

UK'S LONGEST SERVING REC2REC AGENCY SINCE 1999! Finding jobs for recruiters in Legal, Accounting, Financial & Professional Services sectors. CALL ME CONFIDENTIALLY!!!! 07487 508210.
Do you think that people don’t take you seriously because of your age? I’ve just spoken to an ambitious recruitment consultant who keeps seeing our adverts for starting up your own recruitment agency. They told me that they’ve been interested to know how it works but thought we’d be put off by them only being 21 years of age. I told her that regardless of her actual age, the years in recruitment and how much she’d self generated, are what’s important to the backers we are working with. Age is not a barrier to success! For example, this person had been in recruitment for 2 years and had billed £150k in the last 12 months. They were quite focused on a particular sector and although they were only 21 years of age, she had the relevant experience and attitude to make it work. I gave her some examples of what she’d expect to earn. Consistently bill £10,000 per month? Total billings £120,000 per year = £90,000 Gross earnings Consistently bill £15,000 per month? Total Billings 180,000 per year = £135,000 Gross earnings Consistently bill £20,000 per month? Total Billings £240,000 per year = £180,000 Gross earnings The backer takes 25% of what you bill but they pay for all the back office, invoicing, accounts, website, branding, etc.. There are no costs to setting this up. It’s free of charge!! If you feel like people aren’t taking you seriously enough because of your age and you’d like more info how you could set up on your own, then contact me to arrange a confidential chat. To put this into context, here's a picture of Wayne Rooney when he signed to Everton at the age of 17. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 👋 Hi I'm Barrie (Ruth Moran THE UK'S LONGEST SERVING REC2REC) 📣 We've been placing Agency Recruiters since 1999 🥳 Finding you your perfect role! 📞 Call me on 07487 508210 or DM me or drop me an email at barrie@ruthmoran.co.uk You can also follow me by ringing my 🔔 (top right) or send me a connection request! _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Are InMails dead? Working in agency recruitment, I'd be lucky to get higher than a 10% response rate. I thought they were dead as a Dodo. To be honest, they were usually one of my last methods of contact, because, what was the point? However, switch to working for a huge brand... I'm averaging around 40%, which I consider to be quite good. Obviously still some work to go (60% open rate). I guess like most things, it's circumstantial. What's your experience with InMails?

Starting a recruitment agency isn't easy. A few things make it easier: - You have experience building desks/divisions from the ground up - You're in a market that's doing okay - You're supported by an investor or a platform that's helped countless recruiters make the transition from employee to business owner Even then, challenges will come up, you'll question your choice of setting up when you could've just stayed in an agency with a guaranteed salary and limited responsibilities. You'll repeat to yourself, and your friends & family "It's hard, but it's worth it", half-heartedly. But what's the alternative? Stay in agency and: - See 70% of the fees YOU worked hard to generate go up in smoke and get lost in your bosses' pockets, on the same tech you've been using for the last 5 years, and other resources that you barely know about/don't benefit you. - Maybe, just maybe stick around long enough to get offered a (often tiny) % of equity that'll never materialise into cash unless the business sells (unlikely) - Have 0 guarantees and control over how your role will be affected if your market tanks or some scandal that doesn't even involve you tarnishes your relationships with your clients It's a hard jump, and it's certainly not for everyone, but if it's something you're thinking about, let's chat?

Click bait tactics from recruitment agencies. 🤬 I didn’t realise we still did this in 2024 but I guess it still happens. 🤦🏼♀️ A client of mine messaged me the other day saying that they had been approached by another agency whom they had never spoken to before, and asked if I was happy for them to let the agency know that they had an exclusive agreement with me.💁🏼♀️ 10mn later, a candidate who I was speaking with regarding a role in recruiting for (for that client) told me that said other agency told them they had sent their CV to said client.🤨 AS IF THEY HAD A REAL JOB THEY COULD PUT THE CANDIDATE FORWARD TO.🥱 This is “CV Clickbait”, and job seekers you need to be aware of it. Agencies will use your CV (often without your knowledge) to try and generate interest from a company to hopefully get a fee. It’s a disgusting and dishonest practice. 🤮 🪲Job seekers: you MUST clarify with any agency the type of relationship they have with the company they say they will send your CV to. If you can’t confirm that there is actually a real job there, that the agent is legitimately working on, then do not trust this agency with your job search, you know they are not ethical. ➡️Remember: YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAY NO. Your CV should not be sent without your consent. And you should know when and where your CV is being sent. 🪲Employers: if an agency that you have never spoken to sends you a CV, ask yourselves: would I want to work with an agency who is actively lying to their candidate and click baiting with their CV? ➡️Because I guarantee you that you’re not the only one to receive said CV. They’ve probably sprayed it all out hoping that it will stick somehow. I will never stop calling out shady agency tactics. Particularly one as archaic as this one.📢 Actual Formula 1 clickbait here ⬇️🏎️

Back when I was a cocky 25-year-old, I wanted to find the quickest and easiest way to make money. So obviously, I become a recruiter... I joined a well-known tech recruitment agency and on day one was put on the phones. The targets? - 100 calls a day. - A minimum of 3 hours on the phone. - 5 new candidates (recruiter buzzword for 'people') registered per week. - 3 new employer jobs registered per week. If you cut your teeth in that kind of environment, you'll understand the daily stress of trying to reach those targets. As I said, I wanted an *easy way to make money. Recruitment isn't easy. 100 calls a day to generate 1-3 new jobs was a f*cking awful ROI on my time - so I decided to do things differently. I wondered what would happen if I DM'd the CEO of the companies I was trying to get into, instead of battling to get through switchboards and bounce-back emails. I said: *** Hi NAME, I've been trying to get hold of you for a while - I know you're busy! I'm not sure if you know yet, as it hasn't been publicly announced by your competitor (insert competitor name) recently (insert interesting thing they won't know! This could be acquired a business, is hiring for 100 new roles, took funding, anything to get their attention). Which means they're about to go into a huge period of growth. What is (insert company name) going to do about that to stay relevant? Thanks, Amelia *** Of the first 25 messages I sent, approx; - 10 got ignored. - 5 told me they weren't interested in speaking with me. - 5 thanked me for sharing the information. - 5 wanted a chat. And of the 5 that wanted a chat, 1 was a household name business that I ended up winning retained work with (unheard of in recruitment!) and the other was a growing start up, that ended up generating over £100,000 in commission for the recruitment agency I was working for. I believe they're still clients of my ex-employer today. Whatever it is that you're trying to do, and whoever it is that you need to speak to in order to make that happen, just send them a DM. Put your face behind your pursuit. Direct Messages are incredibly powerful things. And the worst that can happen is you get left on 'read'. 💜
