Engineering Recruitment Specialist in the Food & Fresh Produce Industries | Unearthing Exceptional Talent 🛠⛏ 🟥🟨
Having a tough week with two team members missing? Struggling to get support from internal teams? The longer maintenance vacancies remain unfilled while production continues, the more it seems like additional Engineers aren’t needed. We’ve seen it time and time again: vacancies stay open for 3+ months, and then the questions start: ⚙ Do we really need someone on the night shift? ⚙ Why hire someone who can programme when we have contractors? ⚙ We’ve managed with just two shifts of Engineers, so why do we need more? Hang in there, Engineers! Just one more shift until the weekend!

Team Spotlight: Ed Harvey, lead engineer @ utiliVisor "I'm not here as Big Brother to watch over operators. There's always a reason why an operator is going to turn on a piece of equipment, and they're taking the right steps to address their situation with the information they have in front of them. Sometimes the plant operator has no control over the situation that's handed to him. Where I come in is to help determine – if you suddenly need extra flow for a chiller – what's the reason behind you needing that extra flow? "A lot of times it ends up being some sort of pinch point out in the chilled water loop, where the design engineer decided to place a tiny piece of equipment, without realizing that in order to get adequate flow to that small piece of equipment, the operator has to turn on additional large equipment in the central plant to satisfy that need. So where utiliVisor comes in is to pursue why you need that extra flow and help you correct the situation out in the field or in the loop prior to having that pump stage down and getting the flow to where it should be." #operationsmanagement #submetering

Maintenance sector in Chicago. What's happening? The sector is pivotal to the city's economy, providing 80,000 jobs across 2,600 firms, with a focus on plastics and metals. Most attractive skillset for Maintenance Managers in Chicago currently: - CNC maintenance, repair, diagnostics, programming. - PLC programming, troubleshooting. - Hydraulics/pneumatics. - Predictive maintenance, such as vibration monitoring and thermography. - Lockout/Tagout Procedures. - Effective communication and collaboration. Another important factor - is longevity. I understand people have reasons to change jobs, but sometimes candidates need to think twice about the available opportunities. - Will you be able to progress in your career there? - Will you receive training to obtain certifications and increase your skill level? - Will they pay for your training? What type of 401k? - Can you pay less for healthcare? - What if you have an emergency? How will the company react? Or are you accepting your next role out of desperation for just $1-2 more per hour? Are you in Maintenance and discovering your options? Are you a Maintenance Manager looking for people? My diary is open next week; let's schedule some time to connect. ✅ dominik.jegor@acepartners.co.uk ✅ 210 864 1394
