Today (4 Sep), the second Grenfell Tower Inquiry report is released. As I await it's findings, I am reminded of how we should consider such things as 'errors,' 'failings,' and 'learning.' The reduction of anything to its constituent parts causes something to be lost because a full understanding can only come about from the relation of parts to each another. Our duty as safety leaders and EHF practitioners is to see the smallest detail and simultaneously the whole. An ability to note how in altering a detail the sum of the parts is altered, the whole changes. I am certain, we will see the constituent parts in tomorrow's report, and I wonder if we will see the whole?
