What does it feel like…. To work on an event that is SO in demand, it sells out almost immediately? The only relatable experience I’ve had when working B2B organiser side is the time our team launched an e-business event that coincided with the height of the dot-com boom in the late ‘90s… 💰 💰 💰 So many attendees turned up, event security closed the doors due to overcrowding. Of course, the event disappeared as just as quickly as it had risen when the boom went bust. In B2B, I think my experience is as rare as Trump’s humility. What are the chances that you could spot a "theme" with such huge appeal, get the timing and location of the event just right, and sustain it for the long term? Yet festivals, artists, theatre shows and even some consumer events do this routinely. What tactics can we borrow and translate to B2B?
