Meet one of the key members of our Production & Manufacturing team - Sara Hynes, Production Technician. Sara has been with SubC for over 3 years and plays a vital role in the assembly and testing of our subsea cameras, lights, and lasers. When asked why she chose a career in this field, Sara said, "I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do career-wise when I graduated high school, but when I found the ROV Technician program at Marine Institute, I thought that sounded neat! During my first year in the program, I was given the option to get my Bachelor of Technology in underwater vehicles. I really enjoyed school, and I'm glad it's brought me to where I am today." Sara's enjoys the structure of her day-to-day tasks, whether she's building an LED or setting up endurance tests for a batch of lasers. She is extremely organized and has made vast improvements to our assembly and QC processes. "I like working on batches of devices and seeing them go from parts on my work bench, to fully functioning subsea products. It's great getting to see pictures and videos that clients have taken in the real world using cameras, lights, and lasers that I had a hand in building!" #MeetOurTeam
