Mark Zuckerberg recently claimed that there's no causal link between social media and declining mental health in youth. It's no surprise there's "no evidence" directly linking social media to worse mental health outcomes. “Proving Harm” would require Randomized, Controlled, Trials (RCT) that expose Humans to harm, even for the greater good, is deeply unethical in science (and hopefully elsewhere)! In the realm of behavioral research, this principle is called beneficence, safeguarded by Institutional Review Boards (IRB) before any experiment begins. The point of this Ethical Oversight is to ensure no harm comes to participants. What if we could prove things like Social Media cause harm to humans, without putting humans at risk? Could we create an entirely new form of science? Subconscious.ai does. Want to test it yourself? Join our waitlist: https://lnkd.in/dW4VD_Ve #EthicalAI #EthicalResearch #SubconsciousAI

⚡Mental Health Professionals Demand - 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘥 ⚡ 💙 Someone who works in helping others overcome their behavioral and mental challenges and aid in their goals to become a better version of their present works in mental health. 💚 Someone who cares about others, who lends a hand when asked, and is there when no one else is, someone who is at service to others, works in mental health. 💔 Sometimes, a problem emerges when the people who work in the space are not prepared to do so: 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩, 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝. In times when society is taking small actions toward Mental Health Care, when there is a shortage of professionals, and AI is bringing tools to optimize and even replace the human connection, 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 (𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘) 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒅? ❓ What happens when we react to urgency and get washed by the "immediate reward social system" without really stopping and moving in the ecological rhythm of our human nature? How do we create bridges instead of burning them? I firmly believe in the 𝐇𝟐𝐇 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥: 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧. That's a must in this space. What do you believe? #mentalhealth #behavioralhealth #psychology #therapy #awareness

We need to talk about the mental health crisis facing today's youth. Here's what you should know: 📈 Since 2000, depression and anxiety rates in children have doubled 🆘 More than 60% of youth with depression receive no mental health treatment 🤖 In reality, 90% of teens regularly use online chatbots for support, often in secret As a parent and technology enthusiast, these statistics alarm me. Imagine being a teen today, facing the challenges of adolescence and the pressures of a hyper-connected world. Now consider turning to #ChatGPT for advice on your deepest fears and insecurities. I'm awestruck by AI's potential, but deeply troubled by the risks. The hard truth is that relying on it excessively during pivotal years can worsen the youth's mental health crisis. As a society, we cannot afford to get this wrong. We're gambling with our collective futures — not just our children’s. After all, the youth of today are the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow. How can we solve this problem? Let's start with open, honest conversations, to raise awareness and break stigmas. A thorough understanding of this issue requires collaboration across fields. And it requires commitment and innovation to expand access to quality mental health care. We don't have all the answers yet, but I'm determined to do my part. Read the article. Share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas. Keep the conversation going in your families and communities. How has technology affected the mental health of young people in your own life? #YouthEmpowerment #AI #MentalHealthMatters Source: https://lnkd.in/gRPQGq_3
