Yesterday, our Innovation Specialist, Camila Betterelli Giuliano, PhD, and Project Leader, Alexander McMillan, were at the MFMET Workshop on Standardization of Test Methods in Microfluidics in Lisbon hosted by the Portuguese Institute for Quality - IPQ. 🤩 It was great to discuss with key stakeholders in the field about the next steps to make microfluidics more translatable across disciplines. 🤝 👉 From our side, we talked about our latest updates in user-friendly design and our next-generation flow sensor, Galileo. ECOC BOOTH VISIT: SilOriX GETTING FASTER ALL THE TIME. Optica Corporate member SilOriX is a high-tech start-up based in Karlsruhe, Germany, focusing on scaling up and commercialising efficient solutions for high-speed data transmission. At the ECOC Exhibition 2024, I met up with CEO and cofounder Adrian Mertens to understand their new fully driverless modulation scheme using a silicon-organic hybrid. They can do this without optical or electrical amplifiers. But how fast is the future? Adrian's answers are in the video interview below. They plan to continue developing their own materials, having watched the growth strategy of OLEDs. Perhaps you can understand why I am looking forward to OFC Conference 2025?
