#WeRemember. The day our city was changed forever. Theresa is a remarkable example of resiliency, just like our city has been. If you get a chance, read her #SurvivorStory in the link below.
29 years ago, our community was forever changed. #WeRemember those who were killed on April 19, 1995, and pay tribute to the brave and selfless first responders who confronted danger head-on. We are honored to have Theresa Howell, a MACU staff member and Oklahoma City bombing survivor, share her remarkable story. Theresa believes good things come with tragedy — her faith only grew stronger after that fateful day: "I always look for the light in any dark situation because, with the grace of God, there is always light and His blessings." 🙏 Click here to read Theresa's full story: https://bit.ly/3Uojp0b

A very insightful article about a proposed national day for celebrating the lives of those we've lost. Grief is something that we all deal with differently, so there are two different perspectives on this. We'd love to hear what you think? https://lnkd.in/ewzGDNme

👉We are accelerating societal transformation by harnessing the power of the most common human experience to reshape our values, cultural beliefs, and our emerging future. We believe in harnessing the will of the people, rooting the movement in their lived experiences, and aligning policies and systems for regenerative and distributive economies. 👉To achieve this mission, we work across health, social, and economic issues that are central in preserving the rights, dignity, and solvency of all bereaved individuals. This means we stand up to power — political or financial — when it seeks to marginalize, diminish, or take advantage of bereft people, particularly during life’s toughest moments. We stand firm in this mission, even when it requires us to take an inconvenient or unpopular point of view. 👉Our nation can do better. We are working every day to bring more and better resources to people and the professionals who serve them. Bereavement care in America is broken. 🕊️💛 We hope you will join us in making the world a more livable place for bereaved people. Learn more about our mission at Evermore.org.

**Remembering 9/11: A Day of Reflection and Resilience** Today marks the anniversary of one of the most somber days in modern history—September 11, 2001. It’s a day that forever changed the world, a day when the unthinkable happened, and yet, amidst the tragedy, a profound sense of unity, courage, and hope emerged. On this day, we honor the lives lost—the innocent civilians, the brave first responders, and all those whose futures were cut short. We remember the families who have endured unimaginable grief and the communities that came together in the face of fear and uncertainty. In the years since, 9/11 has come to symbolize more than just the tragedy of that fateful day. It serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. The countless acts of bravery, kindness, and selflessness displayed in the aftermath remind us that even in our darkest moments, light can be found through solidarity and compassion. As we reflect today, let us also acknowledge the sacrifices made by so many in the pursuit of peace and security. Let us continue to support the survivors, the families of the victims, and the heroes who worked tirelessly in the days, weeks, and years following the attacks. In remembering 9/11, we are reminded of the importance of unity, not just in times of crisis but every day. Our shared humanity is what will always carry us forward. #NeverForget #September11 #Unity #Resilience #Hope
