Subsea7 is playing a big part in BORA Blue Ocean Research Alliance® Eyes in the Ocean (EITO) project, which is expanding its scientific observations into new areas of the world's oceans. The alliance, a partnership between Subsea7 and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) uses cutting-edge remotely operated vehicle (ROV) technology to search for and obtain footage of marine life that inhabit remote locations and unexplored ocean depths. This is analysed by scientists at NOC. Subsea7’s unique operational vessel access to the ocean globally enables the close monitoring of different ocean characteristics which will ultimately provide the international scientific community with data to support their work. We have already captured incredible images of remora fish on sea turtles and is hoped the EITO project will continue to make exciting and noteworthy discoveries!
