What surprised me about Equinor I rounded off the week with a visit to Equinor’s Young Advisory Group. These impressive young professionals are tasked with thinking about the future of the company, and to challenge those who call the shots. We had a great session and discussed everything from the energy transition to leadership and how to plan an impactful career. I asked the group what has surprised them most about their work so far. They said it’s how different views they have. A good answer, that’s exactly what we need. They then returned the question. Sneaky. So what has surprised me the most about working for Equinor? I would say it’s how big of an impact you can have. It’s easy to feel small in a company of 22.000 employees. To think that someone else probably has the answers. That it doesn’t really matter what I think. But everything that’s great about Equinor started as someone’s idea. People working together are what changes a company. And I’m pretty sure this group has the potential to do exactly that. Do you Dare to Transform? Just concluded 2 days of leadership training in Velen, Germany with colleagues across OPEA, RWE What did I learn? Well… how lucky I am to have very capable colleagues invested in OPEA’s growth strategy and committed to personal and professional growth. Also how fortunate we are to have such opportunities available from the business.
