Improving floor performance, energizing boundary layers, and displacement of low-energy flow are just a few ways they can reduce lap time. In the modern era, thanks to the development of CFD, wind tunnel, and manufacturing techniques, aerodynamicists are able to deftly wield vortices like never before. Simulator Sessions in preparation for race weekends are crucial for the driver to get familiarity with the track and to focus on the upcoming challenge and become essential if the former has never raced in a particular circuit. I feel privileged every time to follow their training, tracking their performance and closely look at their data. Furthermore, it gets satisfying when real-data well correlate with Simulations and the feedback on the vehicle models is positive as all the pieces of work come into place.
