What better time of year than the holidays to remind everyone that Unlimited PTO is garbage 🗑️. Employees need clarity on what time off looks like. Employees need rest to be able to bring their best, most productive selves to work. Employees need to feel safe when taking time off. If your company offers Unlimited PTO and it isn’t working for you, send the HR team this 6 minute recording where I lay out a better way. 😀 #HumanResources #HR #pto #strategichr

To optimize your paid time off (PTO) program and foster a culture of work-life balance, consider the benefits of an accrual-based PTO policy. Allowing employees to gradually earn PTO throughout the year alleviates administrative burdens while providing workers a sense of flexibility and control over their time off. This ensures employees are rewarded for their tenure and encourages them to take regular breaks to recharge and maintain their well-being. #EmployeeBenefits #PTO #HR #TakeCareOfYourPeople https://lnkd.in/epU6fRrt

I recently came across a Harris Poll survey, which found that 3 in 4 employees did not use the maximum PTO permitted by their company and nearly half admitted they felt guilty about taking time off. Why is there so much negativity surrounding taking PTO? Why are employees feeling pressured to avoid taking breaks? It all comes down to the type of culture leadership is creating. Workloads have become heavier while the pressure to perform has risen higher. I believe if we want to improve retention rates and sincerely address employee well-being, we need to place a stronger emphasis on the value of utilizing PTO. #HR #PTO #EmployeeWellness
