According to a recent survey by Monster, 91% of all employees have experienced discrimination in the workplace. Discrimination in the workplace can come in all shapes and sizes. It could be against race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or even age! The recent discussions surrounding the amendment bill of the PoSH Act, 2013 have prompted deep reflection on workplace safety and harassment prevention. 🔥 Are you aware of the upcoming legislation that places a new duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment at work?🔥 💡 The Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 comes into force in October 2024. The Act amends the Equality Act 2010 in two ways: 👊 introduces a new duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment. The targeted employee faced derogatory comments and aggressive sexual harassment, leading to her resignation. 🔍 Title VII Violation: Sis-Bro's alleged conduct violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination based on sex.
