It started off with a technology based on templating for porous membranes in other fields and combined with the Greenpeace Detox campaign I developed the basis for microporous hydrophobic membranes as dimpora can do them now. All without PFAS or solvents for the most sustainable high-performance membranes. Fluorinated (PFAS) membranes ensure both breathability and waterproofness, but they are harmful. Dimpora is offering 100% fluorine-free, high-performance membranes. Are the properties comparable to conventional membranes? Our technology allows us to adjust properties to the respective challenge. With our membranes, you get the highest waterproofing when needed but also the highest breathability is possible, which is unique to our technology. Managing the production by-products was resource-intensive and as the production volumes increased, finding an appropriate energy solution became crucial for Eastman.
