How does Woodedtech WPC decking compare with timber in terms of surface temperature? #wpc #wpcdecking #woodplasticcomposite #wpcboard The full name of WPC material is wood plastic composite material. Generally speaking, Woodedtech's ordinary wood plastic composite material contains 60% wood powder, 30% HDPE plastic, and 10% additives. Although WPC is a plastic material, it still retains some characteristics of timber. For example, the appearance of WPC looks very similar to natural timber.After surface treatment,the feeling of hand touch is also very similar. Tests have shown Woodedtech WPC decking has a similar surface temperature to timber of similar colours and finishes. Please note because grey is darker colour, it can get quite hot under foot, especially when new (similar to a dark painted timber decking board).

PART 01 What is an OSB board? OSB board is a type of particle board. It is made of soft needles, small-diameter wood of broad-leaved trees, and fast-growing thinning wood, such as eucalyptus, fir, poplar, etc... It is processed into shavings through special equipment, which is deoiled, dried, gluing, directional paving, hot pressing, and other processes. PART 02 Advantages of OSB Good stability and strong nail-holding power The material of OSB board is uniform, its weight is light, its strength is high, and it does not expand or shrink significantly when exposed to heat and cold, so it has relatively strong stability and strong nail-holding power—long service life and not easily deformed. Because the particles of OSB boards are relatively large, the toughness is stronger than that of small particle boards. Generally, it will not deform or crack after long-term use. ■Waterproof and moisture-proof It has strong waterproof and moisture-proof capabilities and will not cause deformation or cracking due to water or moisture. ■Strong plasticity It has excellent bending strength value, excellent plasticity, and processability, and can be made into any shape. PART 03 What is the difference between OSB and particle board? ■Particle board The particles of the particle board are small, and when bonded, they are arranged in a cross-arranged structure with large particles in the middle and small particles on both sides. The structure of the particle board allows it to withstand forces in all directions relatively uniformly, but the nail-holding power is not ideal. ■OSB The OSB board has an irregular geometric shape. The upper and lower surface layers are longitudinal structures, the core layer is transverse, and the three-layer structure is hot-pressed. The special structure of the OSB board allows it to withstand greater force and is not easily deformed. 👁🗨 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 Floor renovation starts right at the bottom. Depending on the existing substrate or the condition of the floor to be renovated, a specific solution must be found. For the industrial warehouse of an automotive supplier, the old floor made of fireclay tiles had to be carefully prepared in order to completely cover existing joints. In addition, the industrial hall required an osmosis-blocking intermediate layer due to rising damp. Thanks to a special combination of materials, the system used was able to prevent the moisture rising from below from forming bubbles on the surface of the new coating and curing evenly instead. These problems not only affect the floor’s appearance but can also compromise its performance. 👉𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 occurs when the epoxy coating separates from the substrate.
