Although the weather has been pretty dismal recently, we've certainly had some things to smile about that we would like to share. To start things off, in December, the team went all out in the festive spirit by making donations to some heart-warming causes (Fair Frome & Autism Dogs Charity), and clients (courier permitting) received festive hampers to enjoy in time for Christmas! We also welcomed a new team member: Jack Coode, who joined our solutions team as our latest Virtual IT Director. As winners of the #EmployerOfTheYear award at last year’s #SomersetBusinessAwards, we had the opportunity to sponsor the #LargeBusinessOfTheYear award for 2025. This meant Adam Harling (Managing Director) and Daniel Strain spent the past few weeks visiting various sites, from soap factories to nuclear engineering facilities. It was a pleasure learning about the ins and outs of some exceptional Somerset-based businesses. We’d like to thank everyone for the warm welcomes we’ve received so far: The Somerset Toiletry Company, GSH Projects, Berry & Escott Engineering, and JAO Groundworks Ltd. We were also thrilled that Channel Futures recognised us as a ‘Next Generation’ MSP in what was the perfect early Christmas present. Finally, just a couple of weeks ago, we collectively reflected on last year’s big wins and near misses before setting our departmental goals and ambitions for the year ahead. It’s certainly been a busy few months, and long may it continue! Swipe along to see some of the best bits 👉 #QuarterlyRecap #2025Planning #NextGenerationMSP #GrowthThroughTechnology

Miro has pledged and donated funds to the SEAC - Structural Engineers Association of Colorado Wind Committee Fundraiser to create a revised Colorado wind speed study, which will correctly define and fully cover the Front Range Special Wind Region. This important study focuses on wind speed data that was used to develop a 50-year map in 2006 due to a lack of knowledge of design level wind speeds for the Front Range Area. With Colorado experiencing increasingly high wind speeds these past several years, the committee was prompted to continuously aid in the development of the Colorado Front Range Gust Map and provide education on how to apply the wind load provisions of ASCE 7 to Colorado. SEAC has reached $40,000 of its $50,000 minimum goal on their Wind Committee Fundraiser; you can join us with this important study by donating to them at the following link: https://lnkd.in/g35Sk_Ts #SAMiroInc #SAMiro #Miro #ConsultingEngineers #SEAC #StructuralEngineering #EngineersofColorado #wind #frontrange #colorado #fundraiser

SFN is LIVE! SFN is the largest renewable non-profit fundraiser, and Wow do we have a big year lined up! 3,000 attendees expected. Live action show, aerialist, cryo, concert-style laser show, boxing ring and more! Have we jumped the shark? Absolutely! This is the first year ever that we are embracing the “Fight” theme. For those that don’t know its origin story, The Solar Fight Club was founded when the industry was struggling to take root. Most of us were living small project to small project and simply seeking to survive another day. We couldn’t find customers, we couldn’t find investors, often we could barely make payroll… it was all a Fight. The nature of the struggle has changed dramatically – how to operate at this new scale, how to solve for grid access, how to overcome political divides… but it’s still a Fight. And it’s more urgent than ever! Join us in Anaheim at RE+. We will rally the troops, raise funds for our non-profit partners, make connections to get deals done and have a good time so that we can get back to work with renewed vigor! Event link: https://lnkd.in/eTXH6aud Goal: raise over $500,000 and donate over $200,000 to our non-profit missions Non-profits supported: Honnold Foundation, Climate Action Pathways for Schools and Let’s Share the Sun Brought to you by: Colin Mitchell, J. Stephen Pollock, Todd Friedman, Zeb Wallace and NICO JOHNSON 🎙️ Powered by Odonata Events and Cleantech Industry Resources #solarfightnight #solar #renewables #energytransition #climatechange #sustainability #re+

The ongoing war has resulted in severe damage to nearly every power plant across Ukraine, including thermal and hydroelectric plants. All regions are now experiencing daily power cut-offs, with some only having 6 hours of electricity per day. We need your help to provide generators to those in need before the situation worsens, as the winter months are fast approaching and the need for reliable power sources is more critical than ever. How You Can Help: Donate Generators: If you have any spare generators, please consider donating them. They can provide crucial support. Contribute to Our Fundraiser: Monetary donations will be used to purchase generators and other essential supplies to keep the lights on: https://gofund.me/4362a575 Every generator donated or a penny raised will help us provide as many generators as possible to those in need before winter makes the situation even worse.

Every year, the metal industry faces challenges. Some are new, and some seem never to go away. Please help us learn what they are, benchmark yourself against the rest of the industry, and help volunteer engineers build a sustainable future for communities across the globe. SKF is conducting a survey to learn about the main obstacles in the metal industry, and for every completed survey, SKF donates 10 Euros to the international non-profit organization Engineers Without Borders. Take a few minutes to participate in our survey and get early access to the SKF Metal Challenges Report 2024. Learn more - https://bit.ly/3KSS6pe #metalchallenges #skf #skfreliablerotation
