Refreshments of value. In life, we all have opportunities to serve refreshments. When I say refreshment I mean positivity. Positivity brings value and value breeds success. If the refreshments you serve are not adding value to people's lives, you might be doing it wrong or letting pride get in the way. What kind of refreshments do you serve? Think about the "refreshments" you offer at work, in your family or within your community. Here are some examples: 1. Refreshment of love: Showing care and compassion. 2. Refreshment of skills: Sharing knowledge and expertise. 3. Refreshment of hope: Inspiring and uplifting others. 4. Refreshment of kindness: Acting with empathy and understanding. 5. Refreshment of gratitude: Expressing appreciation and thankfulness. 6. Refreshment of unity: Fostering collaboration and togetherness. Your impact matters Your ability to refresh others is needed in your family, workplace and community. Reflect on your actions: Are they uplifting or discouraging? Be a server of refreshments I encourage you to be a server of refreshments. As long as it brings positive change, be confident. Impact a life because the world needs you. Start small, but aim to grow big in your impact. The world is waiting for your unique contribution. PS: What kind of refreshments will you serve today?

From a festive gift basket to a new concept of exchange. Thanks, @KarlsruherSC ;) Hello #SecretKitchen 🍽️ The vision of inviting diverse individuals from my network into our exclusive "Secret Kitchen" has been a long-held dream, and finally, it's a reality! ✨ Picture this: I extend a warm invitation and take charge of the kitchen myself. No extravagant dishes stealing the spotlight – the essence lies in the conversation. Because when does true connection happen if not over a shared meal? The themes are as varied as the wonderful guests who grace our gatherings. I cherish those moments when minds open up, dialogue flows, visions are explored, or simply talking about the latest soccer game. Cooking for others remains an extraordinary form of appreciation. It's akin to the unique satisfaction of assembling an IKEA Billy bookcase – self-made is self-made. :) How do you all feel about my new format? Any thoughts on how we can make this experience even more enriching? Let the #SecretKitchen adventures begin!

Fractional CMO & Growth Advisor, Award-Winning Executive Marketing Leader | Helping Brands Amplify Growth & Solve Marketing Problems
You probably saw this a lot at your New Years Eve Party. There are 4 types of people in this world: 1 - The person who rests their drink on the middle of the table They are cautious and reliable. They like to play it safe and you can count on them. They don’t want that drink to spill. 2 - The person who rests their drink on the ledge of the table They are strategic and aware of the risks involved. They know their drink might spill but they don’t mind. They would rather have it close and ready when they need it despite the risk. 3 - The person that never puts their drink down. They are dynamic and always on the move. A high-energy driving force that may be great at motivating others. A tireless worker and a bit restless. 4 - The person that doesn’t have a drink at all. They are content or may just not be thirsty. Bridal Coach | CPT | BCND| RN Making brides radiate with health and confidence for their wedding day
Here's a draft Instagram caption for Bombshell Bride based on your story: "I don't eat." That's what I told my mom when she asked where I wanted a gift card for dinner. It wasn't true, of course, but in that moment, the thought of making one more decision felt overwhelming. Between choosing flowers, tasting cakes, and finalizing guest lists, wedding planning had left me with serious decision fatigue. The stress had me so wound up that even picking a restaurant felt like too much. Brides-to-be, does this sound familiar? It's easy to get so caught up in the details that we forget to take care of ourselves. But here's the thing: your wedding is just one day. Your health and well-being? That's for life. Remember, it's okay to take a breather. Grab that slice of pizza, order from your favorite takeout spot, or yes, use that gift card your mom offered. Nourishing your body isn't just about looking good in your dress - it's about feeling good, every step of the way. You're planning a wedding, but you're also planning for a lifetime of happiness. Don't let decision fatigue rob you of the joy in this journey. How are you taking care of yourself amidst the wedding whirlwind? Share below, and let's support each other in this exciting time! 💖👰♀️✨ #BombshellBride #WeddingWellness #BridalHealth #SelfCare #WeddingPlanning

Imagine the scene! Sarah, my client who runs a thriving custom cake bakery, is in a panic. She has a massive three-tier wedding cake due for the mayor's daughter – the next day! But instead of the elaborate creation Sarah designed, the venue sends a frantic email with a picture – it's the wrong cake! Disaster loomed. Sarah was beside herself, but that's where my communication and resourcefulness kicked in. First things first – I calmed Sarah down. Frantic energy wouldn't solve anything. I assured her we'd fix it. Taking a deep breath, I sprang into action. Time was of the essence. I immediately contacted the bakery that delivered the wrong cake. Through clear and concise communication, I explained the urgency and retrieved details of the correct cake. The wrong-cake bakery was thankfully close by. I negotiated a rush delivery fee and, knowing the situation demanded a delicate touch, coordinated with a local courier service I trusted. Throughout this process, I kept Sarah updated with clear and concise emails. Knowing the situation was being addressed helped ease her anxiety. The Sweetest Ending: A Client Saved (and Delighted) The correct cake arrived at the venue just in time! The wedding went off without a hitch, and Sarah's client was thrilled with the beautiful cake. Sarah even sent me a glowing email thanking me for my quick thinking and communication – for saving the day (and the wedding!). Lessons Learned: The Power of Three This experience highlighted the importance of three key skills: Calm and Clear Communication: Panicking never helps. Clear communication keeps everyone informed and focused on solutions. Resourcefulness: Thinking outside the box can be a lifesaver. In this case, finding a reliable courier saved the day. Client Reassurance: Keeping your client updated and involved throughout the process builds trust and demonstrates your commitment to their success. This simple email exchange turned a disaster into a success story. What are your thoughts on staying cool under pressure? Share your experiences in the comments! Owner, In-Tec | 30+ Years in Commercial Cleaning | Advocate, Fair Treatment + Industry Accountability
Sitting at the lunch table, sharing birthday cake with my team. What did I learn? What mistake was I making? Yesterday I had the opportunity to share sometime with my team and it was during this time something dawned on me - How could I lose my way so much? Now I get to have lunch with some of my team every day so that was not the thing that was special. It was the occasion of sharing birthday cake and the addition of some of our senior in-field cleaning team at the table. As I sat there and listened to the team talking about their children and the upcoming Hot Wheeks monster trucks show, listened to stories about one’s grandchildren, stories about some hanging out with each other outside of work and the general friendly conversation it dawned on me…. It was seeing and listening to the team talk about their personal lives that made me think - it doesn’t matter what others in our industry do, it matters what Anne and I do. I should only concentrate on how we treat our team not how others treat theirs. Of course don’t get me wrong. The way others do things should not happen and the recent Sham Contracting audit we just had done can be used to say “throw mud at them” but… I did not organise for the audit for that reason, a reason I lost sight of. I did it to just double check that we are doing the right thing by our team. And it was at lunch yesterday where I saw some of our team laughing, joking and being able to relax around Anne and I that matters. No pretending, no fake laughs, just real laughs, a good time and a great conversation. It matters to them to know we look after not just them but the entire team, the cleaners they mentor and train. It matters to all of them that they get paid as they should be, this way they have the resources to sustain their families and themselves. And Anne and I can take away the knowledge that we have done what we should have and to be honest, excepted to do. After all “happy people make a great team” or when it comes to our clients “happy cleaners, make happy clients”. #fairwork #cleaning #team
