We're doing a wee bit of a campaign to help with interviews, and how to try to succeed at interviews, and I wanted to share some of our 'top tips' below:
1. Research the company and the role thoroughly (obvious but don't underestimate it!)
2. Prepare questions to ask the interviewer.
3. Think of concrete examples to demonstrate your skills (think about following the STAR model).
4. Try to show enthusiasm and confidence (take deep breaths to calm those nerves).
5. Make sure to follow up afterwards, or with your recruitment consultant if via an agency.
I will say though, that my most important interview tip is always to just BE YOURSELF. Be honest about your experience, what you're looking for in a role, your strengths and your examples. Make sure you know what you want to get out of the interview too - don't forget, it's a two-way process.
