Mixing any 2 of the 5 different types of attic exhaust vents on the same roof above a shared attic is the #2 mistake in residential attic ventilation. Air Vent Seminar Results in Vaughan/Toronto... Thank you to the roofing pros who helped us kick off our annual "Attic Ventilation: Ask the Expert Seminar" season. Fun crowd in Vaughan. Question of the Day: "Is there ever a point in which there are too many attic vents?" Answer: Once you balance the attic ventilation with 50% intake and 50% exhaust you cannot have too much intake. In fact, if you're ever out of balance, be intake-heavy. However, it's not recommended to be exhaust-heavy. Too much exhaust can cause the exhaust to turn into intake (which means it could pull in weather). Tomorrow our seminar heads to Buffalo. Thursday we're in Cleveland. Friday we're in Columbus.
