The Century Mission is circumnavigating the globe (flying around the world) in as short a time as possible timed with the 100th anniversary of the first ever around the world flight on April 6, 1924, which was called The World Flight (Pictured here). More information on that flight will be coming on this page. Another notable factor is that this record attempt is going westbound, which is more difficult because they will be flying into a headwind as opposed to having a tailwind, instead of eastbound as all previous record-setting flights have done. Since there isn't a record for this route, it will be a challenge to other airplanes of the same category to try to break the record they set. We can not wait to cheer them on as Classic Lear Jet Foundation will be your EXCLUSIVE update station on all things "The Century Mission - Around the World from the Air Capital"! If you aren't already following our page go ahead and click follow to see more updates like this on this ATW Record Attempt.

Transformative Author, Speaker, Coach and the CSO (Chief Soaring Officer) at When PIGGs Fly. I help people believe in themselves and go for their dreams with PIGG (Passion, Intention, Gratitude, Grace).
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW YOUR LIMITS, LOOK ABOVE YOU AND NOT AROUND YOU. We were born to rise above the limits of what we and others think is possible in our lives. And that’s why we need to look above us and not around us. To understand that the sky’s the limit and not the limitations of those around us who insist on living limited lives. We don’t need to look around for confirmation and validation from anyone as to what we are capable of achieving during our brief time on this planet. And that’s a hard habit to break. Because from birth we are raised to conform to what other people expect of us. To ask for their opinions and seek counsel from the “experts” who are well-versed in their version of what’s possible. When the truth is that only we can know what’s possible for us. Flying airplanes has given me a totally different perspective on what is possible when we believe in ourselves enough to go for our dreams. To leave the gravity of other people’s expectations below and lift our spirits into the smooth air of possibilities. And to soar through the blue skies of belief in a world where anything is possible for us. You don’t have to be a pilot to experience of all of this and more. All you have to do is look up and realize that Anything is Possible for you. 😊

As we prepare for Farnborough International Airshow next week we thought we would take time to answer some of the questions we get asked most frequently. How does Airlander operate in variable weather conditions? 🌪️⚡ Airlander is designed to handle a wide range of weather conditions, just like any other commercial aircraft. It will be Type Certified and capable of flying in high and low temperatures, ice, wind, rain, snow, and lightning. Click here for a full overview: https://lnkd.in/e6xzErBQ How does Airlander handle turbulence? While you will feel turbulence when you fly on Airlander, it will be substantially reduced when compared to an aeroplane subject to the same level of turbulence. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/evK-5ZTB How is Airlander different from traditional airships? 🌟 Airlander combines proven aerospace technologies, creating a hybrid aircraft that is very different to airships of the past. Here’s how: https://lnkd.in/eB9c7Fdd #Airlander #RethinkTheSkies #FAQs
