How To Properly Use Credit 💳💵 I recently had the opportunity to speak to the National Youth Leaders here in Houston about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and philanthropy. While spending time with them, I wanted to break down the myth that a lot them as well as a lot of people in general (including myself) had about credit cards. A lot of our relatives told us growing up that we should avoid credit cards like the plague. Which if you don’t know how to use them properly is true. Fortunately, I was able to share with them my experience by following this myth, what I learned from it, and encouraged them to start their credit journey sooner rather than later by discussing the benefits of credit cards and how to use them properly 🙏🏽 For anyone else who still holds this myth true, I hope this blesses you! As of summer 2024, there are currently 26 states that guarantee a personal finance course in high school. 👏 This shows that policymakers, educators, and parents are increasingly recognizing the importance of financial education and continue to advocate for students to learn these skills in school.
