And another fact to add to this is that if you grew up on the Copperbelt, "Vatra" was already known to be "Water" eons before it was branded into what it is today. "Vatra" was the street name for water back then. Going with this, it can be clearly seen that the marketing team was clever enough to begin their brand development efforts from the most fundamental aspects of Marketing, Psychology and Culture. What is meant here can be fully explored by reading the book, Hit Makers: How to Succeed in an Age of Distraction by Derek Thompson. But ultimately, this is all to say, as marketing and comms professionals, having a holistic view or approach to our projects is essential as they can help us achieve unimaginable success.
