This is our best performing barrier at Sungai Watch — In just 1 year, it collected an impressive 29,963 kg of trash, all stopped from going into the ocean.
Located in Banyuwangi, the barrier sometimes catches so much trash, that we call upon all 42 team members from Banyuwangi across 3 stations to tackle the trash caught from this barrier.

When people first encounter Lixing’s Chinese name, “力行,” they often ask, “Why this name? What does it mean?”
The name “力行(Lì Xíng)” originates from the traditional Chinese idiom “身体力行,” which translates to “experience with your body, act with your effort.” It reflects the philosophy of making an all-out effort and taking action personally.
At Lixing, this meaning represents our commitment to embodying our values through action and dedication in everything we do.
To celebrate the new year, we’ve created a traditional Chinese couplet that includes our company name:
(Read from right to left)
🏮力耕新居 (Lì gēng xīn jū) – Finding new homes with dedication,
🏮行筑万家 (Xíng zhù wàn jiā) – Creating thousands of happy lives with action and care.
This couplet reflects our vision and promise to our partners and clients. Wishing everyone a wonderful Chinese New Year filled with joy and prosperity!🧨🧧🎉

One word is enough!
More and more organizers around the world are starting to call their clean up events "plogging"—a universal term that transcends language and culture. Whether you speak Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portugise, Chinese or any of the over 200 languages in India, "Plogging" means the same thing.
When we are Plogging in Pondicherry/India, it became clear how powerful a shared term can be. It fosters a sense of unity and makes it easier to spread the message of environmental responsibility. As a result, our initiative received official recognition from the Commissioner of Pondicherry, who now actively supports our efforts. Thanks to this endorsement, we have been able to establish plogging as a recurring event every Saturday, attracting more and more participants who are committed to making their city cleaner and healthier.
Using a single word like "Plogging" not only ensures global understanding—it also helps build a worldwide movement for a cleaner planet.

It's been 14 years since my last visit to Komodo National Park in Indonesia. What was once a pristine and serene paradise is now suffering from severe pollution. The impact on this beautiful island is heartbreaking.
How has this happened, and more importantly, what can we do to reverse this damage? Share your thoughts and join the conversation on how we can make a difference. #KomodoNationalPark#SaveOurOceans#EnvironmentalAwareness

Here is a quick character art I made with reference to Shinrabanshoman and Sun Wukong. It was quite fun to make and I enjoyed the process a lot.
Let me know what you think?

🌍 Sharing Insights at the Ministry of Environment & Forestry's "LIKE 2" Talkshow
August 9, 2024
It was a pleasure to be part of the talk show on "Access to Environmental Funds with Beneficiaries" during the 'LIKE 2 Festival' in JCC Jakarta.
The discussion centered around the vital role of grassroots initiatives in driving the circular economy in Indonesia. From community-driven waste management solutions to the integration of SMEs into broader value chains, the grassroots level is where transformative change begins. As Indonesia transitions from a linear to a circular economy, these local innovations are crucial for addressing environmental challenges, enhancing economic resilience, and promoting sustainable development.
In this journey, UNDP is committed to supporting the development and implementation of the National Circular Economy Action Plan. Our efforts span across upstream and downstream initiatives, from supporting the preparation of the National Circular Economy Roadmaps, to empowering local communities through projects like the National Youth IDEATHON on food loss/waste, and interfaith waste management programs.
It was also a privilege to share the stage with four extraordinary 'Srikandi'— a.k.a. wonder women from Indonesia, who are leading the charge in this field:
1. Ibu Vinda Damayanti, Director of Waste Reduction at MoEF
2. Ibu Gunhild Santos Nedrelid, Counsellor of the Royal Norwegian Embassy
3. Ibu Damayanti Ratunanda, Director of Fund Distribution at Indonesia Environment Fund/BPDLH
4. Mba Prita Laura, our amazing moderator
Together, we explored how international support may take part in accelerating this 'just' transition. By leveraging innovative financing mechanisms and fostering collaboration across sectors, we can ensure that the shift to a circular economy is inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial for all.
The link to the video is available at the Ministry's Youtube: https://lnkd.in/ghEcCPW6
Thank you to everyone who made this event a success, and let's continue working together for a greener, more resilient future! 💚 #CircularEconomy#Sustainability#UNDP#EnvironmentalInnovation#GreenDevelopment#Indonesia
What’s the story behind the ‘doosri wali glass’?
It’s that worn-out, forgotten cup kept in corners for when a #cleaner, delivery person, or anyone perceived as ‘lesser’ asks for water. A symbol of hierarchy, where even hydration comes with discrimination.
At Vivarta Shine, we believe respect should be as abundant as #water. And #dignity shouldn't be disposable.
We provide our people with water arrangements. No second glasses. No silent treatments.
The world doesn’t need more ‘doosri wali glasses.’ It needs more #humanity.
Let’s make it happen.
