I’m often asked the difference between Irish and Icelandic moss. Firstly, neither is actually a moss. Whereas Icelandic moss is actually a lichen, Sea moss, and Irish moss are seaweeds that refer to the same species, Chondrus crispus. However, the usage of these two names has historical, geographical, and cultural differences. Rich in minerals like iron, potassium, and iodine, sea moss promotes thyroid health, boosts immunity, and aids digestion. Plus, it’s a collagen powerhouse, enhancing skin elasticity and promoting joint health. To make your own, soak dried sea moss for up to 72 hours, rinsing well in between. Blend until smooth, and refrigerate. - Once the sea moss gel has gelled, you can customize it to your taste. - Add sweeteners like brown sugar, alternative sugars (agave, maple syrup), or a keto pudding mix packet if you prefer a sweeter or flavored sea moss gel. You can also add it to smoothies, beverages, and desserts, or even use it as a thickening agent in cooking and baking. Power up your path to wellness with this DIY sea moss gel! 🌊💚 #SeaMoss #HolisticLiving #PlantBasedHealth #Mosses #HealthBenefits #Botany #NaturalHealth #Recipes #holisticherbalism #herbalism #icelandicmoss #irishmoss #seamoss #plantfamilies #lichens #collagen #bones #joints #health #selfcare
