Oops, I did silly mistake! So, picture this It's my first-ever Zoom call with not one, but two of my clients. As I join the call, I feel nervous like butterflies in my tummy. Just my luck! I was late by few seconds & they both joined the meeting and As soon as I joined, felt a bit lost & speechless. Now, here's where the comedy kicks in, I freeze up, completely blanked on the basics like saying a simple 'hi' or asking how they were doing. Classic newbie move, isn't it? But hey, we've all been there, haven't we? Who hasn't had a moment of awkwardness during a virtual meeting? So, if you've ever found yourself in a similar "oops" situation, just know you're not alone. The way we talk to ourselves can have a big impact on our well-being. How about we prioritize compassion within ourselves? One way to do this is by using the second or third person instead of the first person. For instance, instead of saying, "I can't do that," you can say "you" or use your name. By talking in the second or third person, you distance yourself from the issue.
