As we step into 2025, we renew our focus on advancing innovative research and developing the skilled workforce crucial for the acceleration of offshore renewable energy. The path to achieving Net Zero presents both opportunities for innovation and significant technical challenges. A growing workforce of offshore renewable energy professionals is needed, with expertise in research and innovation to enhance efficiency, productivity, and reduce risks. To support this, we're pleased to announce 5 more dates in our Masterclass series, allowing professionals to develop their expertise in critical areas and to lead the sector forward. - Economic and Policy Analysis for Offshore Renewables | 25 & 26 Feb Gain a comprehensive understanding of the economic and policy drivers shaping the offshore renewable energy sector.   - Environmental Contours & Extreme Value Analysis | 15 & 16 May Master the tools and techniques of extreme value analysis in a range of applications in offshore renewable energy, supported by real world case studies.   - Offshore Geotechnics | 27 & 28 May Explore geotechnical engineering applied to offshore renewable energy problems supported by hands-on demonstrations and observation of a live, scale-model experiment on a geotechnical centrifuge.   - Offshore Structural Integrity | 2 & 3 Apr Dive into the design philosophies and methodologies critical for ensuring the structural integrity of offshore renewable energy installations, covering materials and design considerations.   - Virtual Prototyping of Offshore Renewable Energy Technologies 30 April & 1 May Using the state-of-the-art Marine Simulator, explore full-scale virtual prototyping of ORE technologies under the influence of varying climatic and physical conditions.   - Optimising Offshore Renewable Energy Array Design and Locations for Safety, Fisheries Colocation and Environmental Aspects | Sept 2025 TBC Learn to navigate the complexities of offshore wind farm design via interactive visualisation tools in the cutting-edge Marine Simulator using real world case studies including manoeuvring vessels around wind farms and mooring line inspections.
