Something I’ve been thinking about for a while is the “Elon Effect”. In the US, many CEOs have cultivated fandoms - a following of loyal fans that feel deeply connected not only to the individual CEO but to the company itself. From a retail shareholder perspective - e.g., individuals who are invested in the company - this creates some useful dynamics. Individuals are genuinely engaged. They want to know about the company, they want to hear about its updates, they want to actually attend the AGMs. Although not all positive (Elon is by no means without fault as a CEO or leader) from an engagement perspective, I do think UK companies could learn something from this. Retail investors should want to come to AGMs; it shouldn’t be a struggle for them. Companies should want their shareholders to be engaged so they can listen and learn from their needs, not just the requests of institutional investors. And this takes inspiration. What do you think? I’m attending an AGM almost every week and this is something that I keep coming back to. How do we empower retail shareholders to want to get involved with the AGM process and how do we support UK listed companies to prioritise individuals alongside institutional investors? The Board of Directors approved FY 2023 consolidated results in line with preliminary figures. Revenues at € 214 million (+ 7%) compared to the previous year. Year 2023 ended with the strengthening of the entire organizational structure that will see its effects starting from 2024. On June 18, the Company will present the new strategic plan 2024-2026.
