These responses can feel too short, so we've made our suggestions longer and more human-like. Additionally, we've provided an opportunity to edit them because, while convenient, sending an email with a single button press can be terrifying. I’ve just ported the QllamaTalk app to iOS, and the changes have now been merged into the main branch: https://lnkd.in/gvSZMCUp Initially, I tried using the same 8-billion-parameter model on my iPhone 11, but it kept crashing. As a result, I switched to a smaller 3-billion-parameter model. Even then, performance remains poor—especially on my iPhone 13 mini, where it sometimes crashes. Since the model is smaller, the quality of the responses also seems to have declined. This experience makes me wonder if running inference locally on mobile devices is worthwhile, given they usually have network access. Offloading inference to a powerful server and sending queries from the mobile device might be more practical. The attached is the app running on my iPhone 13 mini. #Qt #Llama #LLM #iOS
