Excited to share that our paper "Microstructural Evolution and Interfaces in Cold-Sprayed Hybrid Aluminum Alloy Powders of Different Hardness" has been published in Surface & Coatings Technology! This study highlights the development of high-strength aluminum alloy deposits using a novel Aluminum High Entropy Alloy (Al HEA), which, due to its high hardness and low cold sprayability, was blended with Al 6061 to form a hybrid composite. By leveraging the ductility of Al 6061 and the strength of Al HEA, the hybrid approach enabled better cold sprayability, leading to the evolution of unique interface mechanics that balanced strength and ductility in the final deposit.
