This month, we hosted the 2024 Annual Vendor Meeting, where we reviewed the current state of Superior Grocers and unveiled our exciting marketing plans for 2025. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share insights, and collaborate on strategies that will help us continue to grow and deliver exceptional products and services to our valued customers. Together, we’re driving excellence in the grocery industry! We’d like to give thanks to all our amazing vendors and look forward to collaborating with them in the year ahead. We love connecting with our vendor community in person and are already excited for next year’s event. A huge thank you to Anheuser-Busch & Straub Distributing for sponsoring this year’s event! 🎉

Congratulations to our President & CEO, Richard Wardwell for being inducted into the The Shelby Report Food Industry Hall of Fame! Rich is a true industry leader. We are lucky and honored to call him one of our own.

Today we presented a check to City of Hope of $175,624. These funds were raised through our annual Kids 4 Hope in-store campaign. Shoppers were able to donate by purchasing $1 and $5 mobiles when they check out. Funds collected during the campaign will support pediatric cancer patients at City of Hope. Thank you to our generous customers and our store associates for making this campaign a success. A renowned independent research and treatment center for cancer, City of Hope is a world leader in treating blood disorders that occur most often in children, adolescents and young adults, including leukemia and lymphoma, bone, joint and soft tissue tumors and brain tumors. ❤️ #givingback

🎒 Supporting Our Students! 🎒   We are thrilled to announce that Superior Grocers is donating backpacks and supplies to Bemis Elementary and Kelly Elementary in the Rialto School District At Superior Grocers, we believe in the power of education and the importance of supporting our local schools. By providing these backpacks, we aim to facilitate the back-to-school transition for students and families , ensuring that every child has what they need to succeed. Last month, our very own Sally Hernandez was honored for her leadership excellence by FISMC (The Food Industries Managers’ Sales Club), a respected organization in the grocery industry. This year, Sally shares this prestigious recognition with Bertha Luna of Stater Bros, joining a stellar group of past honorees including our own Mari Mani. Richard introduced Sally with a heartfelt tribute, highlighting her experience, dedication, and exceptional skills. Sally’s daughter Stephanie (her Mini-Me!) expressed admiration and love for her Mom, along with a special “S-A-L-L-Y” acrostic. We are incredibly proud of Sally and her daily efforts to lead her team and provide the best products to our customers. She is a role model, exemplifying our values of integrity, service, passion, and excellence. In honor of Sally, Food Industries Sales Managers' Club donated $5,000 to our charitable Superior Foundation. Congratulations to Sally from the entire Superior team!
