Let’s get to know our ProFuse Technology family members!
We here at ProFuse make it a point to make everyone feel welcomed and at home.
This time we have Gal Nov, a research scientist and a few bits of info about her!
Q: What do you like about working at ProFuse?
A: It's difficult to sum up the benefits of working at ProFuse in just a few words, but one thing stands out: our exceptional team. We boast the finest professionals who are not only skilled but also wonderful individuals. Every day, walking into the lab is a joy as we're greeted by energetic, supportive colleagues. We gather for coffee, share laughs, and offer advice without any hint of ego. It's like being part of a close-knit family.
Q: How long have you been with us?
A: I joined right at the inception of the company's venture in Kiryat Shmona. In December 2021, following extensive efforts led by Dr. Tamar Eigler, our CTO, we launched our laboratory and assembled our R&D team in Kiryat Shmona.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who is considering applying for a job at ProFuse?
A: At ProFuse, versatility is key; we employ a range of methodologies and work with diverse cell models. If you're considering joining our team, be prepared to embrace a learning mindset and demonstrate patience throughout the process. While everyone collaborates closely with our technical staff, there's also a need for independent and efficient time management, coupled with a capacity for working at a fast pace. Attention to detail is crucial, particularly in tasks like cell cultures. Most importantly, bring a thirst for learning, a readiness for challenges, and an appreciation for good music playing in the background.
Q: Best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: If your CV has all the qualifications required for the job, this job probably won't challenge you.
Q: What motivates you?
A: Challenge. A challenge of an impossible task at the time of execution, in the technical challenge or a biological challenge that needs to be cracked.
Q: A book that everyone should read?
A: "Mr. Vertigo" by Paul Auster, 1994
Q: What superpower would you want?
A: I am a mother of twins; I already have a superpower 😊
But if I had to think of another power that I would be happy to have, it would be the ability to extend the day as needed. Sometimes 24 hours a day is just not enough.
