100% this. Customer acquisition is almost by definition more expensive than selling to existing customers. My favorite anecdote in this space: Several years ago, my furnace died. It was 2013 (remember "polar vortex,") it was January, and it was 4 degrees outside. Service guy shows up, root causes the problem, and tells me it's a $300 repair on a 30 year old furnace (which has an estimated productive life of 25 years). He then tells me he can have a new furnace financed and installed tomorrow for a little bit over 3x what the repair would cost. Not just sold, easiest sale ever. Customer service/success.
