I recently completed the 2024 MCPA Administrative Professionals Certificate program. My favorite session was called “AI in Higher Education”. It’s probably one of the best workshops I’ve seen on AI. The speaker (Angela Virtu) did a beautiful job overcoming people’s initial resistance and getting them to use AI. Here’s some of what I noticed: 🤖 She created a safe space for exploration, learning, and asking questions. 🤖 She provided numerous opportunities for practice. 🤖 Before practicing, she shared example prompts and examples of the expected output, so the entire process was clear to us. 🤖 After each practice session, we reflected and had the chance to ask nuanced questions. 🤖 She gradually increased the difficulty with each practice session. 🤖 She provided excellent resources to facilitate practice. ➡️ Prompt Builder: (https://lnkd.in/g7A_Ax-R) ➡️ Prompt Library: (https://lnkd.in/gysdfby9) 🤖 At the end, she connected the learning to our work, encouraging us to reflect on using AI for repetitive tasks. 🤖 She made post-presentation practice easy, suggesting just 5 minutes or one prompt a day to build the muscle.
