Today, I had the pleasure of participating in the Smart Cities and ICT Working Group Meeting – Digital Tools for Smart Cities, organized by ERRIN (European Regions Research and Innovation Network) and kindly hosted by the Cities Northern Netherlands EU Office in Brussels. The event highlighted exciting digital funding opportunities for cities and regions, including the ‘Towards Networked Local Digital Twins in the EU’ call by DG CONNECT and pilot calls under the Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities. We also dived into practical examples of digital tools, such as digital twins, which are already being implemented to help cities achieve their climate neutrality ambitions. These innovative solutions are paving the way for smarter, more sustainable urban ecosystems. A big thank you to all the speakers and participants for the inspiring discussions and ideas! It’s events like these that demonstrate how collaboration and innovation can drive real progress for our cities. #SmartCities #DigitalInnovation #ClimateNeutrality #FundingOpportunities #ERRIN
