Our new article “Over-the-Air Synchronization for Coherent Digital Automotive Radar Networks” from Lukas Sigg is now available as Early Access in IEEE Transactions on Radar Systems: https://lnkd.in/eeTTb3XX This work, developed within the funding project VERANO (https://lnkd.in/eSYq95My), explores how radar networks can achieve superior performance through over-the-air synchronization using digital systems. Our research demonstrates the feasibility of synchronizing radar nodes by correcting carrier frequency, sampling frequency, and timing offsets.

Electronica 2024: New Reference for Microwave Measurements The SPECTRAN V6 XPR series of real-time spectrum analysers from Aaronia AG set new standards - with measurements up to 140GHz being supporting, while still offering the advantages associated with low-cost USB instrumentation. They have a real-time bandwidth reaching 490MHz and a 3THz/s sweep speed. By using them, it is possible for high-frequency, rapidly changing signals to be reliably analysed and evaluated in detail. Units are available that have a 10dB noise figure (NF) at 77GHz, making them suitabe for automotive radar measurements in the automotive sector. Thanks to their waveguide connection, it will be possible in the future for users to connect their own amplifier and splitter systems.
