Yesterday the Cook Government released the Public Knowledge Sharing Report on the Denham Renewable Hydrogen Microgrid. It is not a short read at 68 pages, but provides valuable insight and lessons to support the commercialisation of renewable hydrogen power generation. A first-of-its-kind in Australia, this innovative project is leading the energy transition to new technologies as we work towards the State Government's commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Our unique integration of renewable energy and hydrogen components sets us apart, putting regional WA at the cutting edge of hydrogen application. The project includes a 704-kilowatt solar farm, a 348kW hydrogen electrolyser, and a 100kW fuel cell, providing an innovative alternative to diesel generators and offsetting 140,000 litres of diesel each year. The knowledge we've gained through this pilot project will guide future remote uses of renewable hydrogen across WA and the rest of the nation. I am excited about the opportunities this creates for our customers and the broader communities that are traditionally powered by diesel generated microgrids.
