If you’re not evolving, you’re losing. Why Prioritizing Training & Continuous Upskilling is Critical for Sales Teams I recently spoke with a sales enablement leader (in a Fortune 100 company) who shared deeper insights on why sales rep churn is over 30% in their organization. Here’s what we uncovered: 1) Senior reps often believe they know it all: What worked in the past might not work in today’s fast-changing market. Assumptions can lead to stagnation. 2) Research & Personalization is lacking: In an era where personalization is key, many reps still default to generic messaging, focusing on products rather than customer outcomes. 3) Change is hard: Old habits die hard. Even when sales enablement tools and resources are provided, habit change requires continuous reinforcement. 4) Disconnect between leadership and reps: A lack of alignment between management expectations and what’s happening on the ground leads to missed targets and frustration. No matter how senior a rep is, ongoing training and upskilling are essential. Sales enablement leaders and sales managers must focus on prioritizing a culture of continuous learning, encouraging reps to adapt, personalize, and stay agile. #salesenablement #salesLeadership #training #upskilling #continuouslearning #sales #salestips

🚀 Integrity: The Key to Personal and Professional Growth One of the most important traits I look for is integrity. It’s easy to talk about but tough to assess, yet it’s the foundation of lasting success for individuals and companies. What does integrity look like at work? > Being upfront when your product won’t meet a customer's needs > Helping a new hire without being asked > Informing investors of changes, even before they ask > A leader giving credit to the team for success > Communicating missed deadlines or tough decisions openly > Supporting a colleague who's being treated unfairly, even if it comes at a cost Integrity goes beyond honesty—it's about accountability, transparency, and doing what's right, even when no one is watching (because thats the right thing). By nurturing a culture of integrity in our startups, we build trust and respect internally, which leads to long-term success. Integrity-driven wins are the ones that truly last. #integrity #leadership #startups #founders #build #teambuilding

"Company Culture" isn't just a buzzword—it's the living, breathing essence of what your organization does and stands for. As companies grow, this culture inevitably shifts, and founders must remain vigilant to these changes with each new hire. Insightful perspectives from Christopher Gannon and Kevin Mulrane on the nature of company culture: 1) Culture in Action: While it may be documented in employee handbooks, true culture is defined and lived by employees daily. 2) Every Voice Matters: Recognize that each employee contributes to shaping the culture. Diligence in hiring and onboarding is crucial. 3) Regular Culture Check-ins: Frequently engage with your team to reflect on and reassess your culture. Ask yourselves: "Do we still embody the values we initially defined?" As leaders, how do you ensure your company culture evolves intentionally with your growth? Share your thoughts and experiences below. #culture #sales #leadership #startups #founders #recruiting

🚀 Recruiting Motivated Employees is Tough and should be Intentional 🚀 Our recent hiring experience for a Founding AE role at SalesTable revealed some eye-opening insights: • 319 applicants in just 2 days • Only 2.2% of applicants thoroughly read the job description • 7 candidates submitted the required video application Despite our detailed job description, including base and OTE expectations, ONLY few applicants actually read the entire job post. Most people likely clicked “Easy Apply” after seeing the title alone. Out of all the applicants, 7 candidates stood out by submitting a required video, thoughtfully answering “Why SalesTable?” What set the standout candidates apart: • Quick response time (within hours) • Thorough research on our company • Asking insightful questions • Confidence and strong presentation skills • Clear articulation of why they wanted to join SalesTable For Job Seekers: • Stand Out: In a sea of applicants, going the extra mile makes all the difference. Those who followed instructions precisely immediately caught our attention. • Do Your Research: Understand the company and role deeply. Your interest should go beyond "paying the bills." • Act Quickly: Responsive candidates who applied promptly stood out positively. • Ask Thoughtful Questions: Demonstrate your engagement by asking insightful questions that weren't already answered in the job description. • Presentation Matters: Confidence, screen presence, and pitching skills set top candidates apart. For Sales Leaders: • Be Crystal Clear: Clearly define the role, expectations, and compensation to attract the right candidates. • Quality Over Quantity: Don't hire to increase headcount. Hire to bring in the right talent that aligns with your company's vision and culture. • Design the Role Carefully: Putting extra effort into role design will boost revenue, reduce managerial stress, and enhance employee satisfaction. • Look for Initiative: Candidates who go above and beyond in the application process are likely to bring that same energy to the job. Why this process is intentional? For job seekers, it's an opportunity to showcase your unique value. For employers, it's a chance to find not just an employee, but a partner in your company's growth journey. Hiring the right person increases revenue, reduces managerial headaches, and enhances employee satisfaction. DO NOT HIRE JUST TO INCREASE HEADCOUNT. HIRE TO BRING IN THE RIGHT TALENT. 💡 For those who hired (or got hired) recently, what's your experience like? #SalesRecruitment #TalentAcquisition #CareerAdvice #SalesLeadership #Hiring

Unpopular take: Why does every department now need an Ops team? - Engineering Ops - Product Ops - Sales/Rev Ops - Marketing Ops - CS Ops ... We've reached a point where Operations teams are becoming what IT departments were decades ago—essential yet bloated with overhead and inefficiencies. AI will absolutely streamline this bloat. AI-driven automation can optimize and simplify many of the repetitive and manual tasks these Ops teams handle, allowing companies to focus resources where they matter most—creativity, innovation and growth. Thousands of startups are already started to doing this and more to come. #Automation #AI #BusinessOps #FutureOfWork #Efficiency

Chief Sales Officer (CSO)
1ySuresh Krishna Madhuvarsu, I believe this is a solid list of things to consider with regard to rep turnover. One other item that you may want to consider adding is "speed to ramp". I believe many reps leave early is due to the time it takes to come up to speed and get their first deal. The sooner a rep becomes productive, the more likely they are to want to remain with the company. Particularly with a product or service with a long lead time they need to be selling as soon as possible so they see success in a reasonable time frame.
