🤔What can we learn from R2COM partner countries and their local experiences to prevent radicalisation? Looking at the case of Italy, and in specific Milan, following a recent report (https://lnkd.in/eeJsKdbW), there are some conclusions to make. 🔎The lack of a cohesive national P/CVE strategy leads to fragmented efforts between the national and the local level. Let’s consider different ways to improvement towards integrated preventive strategies: ✔Foster cooperation between various stakeholders, including public-private and national-level partnerships; ✔Enhance the exchange of competencies, best practices, and experiences between different professionals and different settings; ✔Promote long-term and sustainable solutions, which requires a greater focus on pedagogical efforts. 🙌These recommendations are very much in line with the R2COM project’s commitment. 📢We remain invested in connecting professionals from all over Europe, discovering, developing, and promoting good and grounded practices to prevent radicalisation and activate the role of civil society in it! The headline is important, but what I see here is that people with limited English proficiency have nearly 5 times the rate of being uninsured. And being uninsured is the key predictor for access to health care. This national level data shows how much worse the picture is than here in California, where we see disparities still but not at this scale. Our investments into multilingual outreach for Medi-Cal and Covered CA matter.
Adults with limited English proficiency report worse health status and increased barriers in accessing health care compared to English proficient adults. Despite this difference in health status, our analysis shows adults with LEP report less use of care and greater barriers to accessing health care compared to their English proficient counterparts.
