Did you know that materials make a difference in design? At Saez Decom, that's our key, let's get to know two of them! Foam or Honeycomb Cardboard? Many people think that foam is the best option, but in reality, honeycomb cardboard is incredibly more sustainable! It is made from wood and is 100% recyclable. Recycling is key! Foam is a petroleum derivative, it has a greater environmental impact when recycled. Recycling Foam is more complicated and less sustainable, so taking care of the planet is a priority at Saez Decom! At Saez Decom, we carefully choose our materials to offer you quality and sustainability. Discover more with us! When it comes to building materials, what happens after the installation matters just as much as what happens before. Lifecycle material management means looking at the big picture — from sourcing raw materials to how they’re reused or recycled at the end of their life. At GlasCurtain, we take this approach seriously. By focusing on durable, high-performance fibreglass-framed curtain wall systems, we help reduce waste and optimize resource efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle of a building. It’s all about making smarter choices today for a more sustainable tomorrow! 🌍💚 •• •• #BuildingMaterials #BuildingMaterialManagement #Fibreglass #CurtainWall #durability #highperformancebuilding #coldclimate

Kudos to 3form for raising the bar on high quality, full recyclable architectural glass and resin products in a recent Barrier to Entry podcast. Andrew Lane and Bobby Bonett chatted with the company's VP of Marketing Karli Slocum about how they are combining mechanical recycling and more sophisticated molecular recycling to produce highly aesthetic materials with no cost premium and a 25% decrease in carbon emissions. Karli explains how mechanical recycling shreds and pelletizes things like bottles, but it can only be done so many times and applications are limited. On the other hand, molecular recycling can take a broader range of plastics, including dies, break down the discarded material to the molecular level, and isolate the components one needs to build a new product. For 3form, this has increased their ability to manufacture products with a high level of clarity and translucency. #recyling #carbonemissions #sustainableesign #interiors #architecture

I’ve been reading 👩🏫 and researching a lot about modular design. It’s even more clear to me now than it was before that this approach is truly transformative 💫for the water industry 👷♀️ Modular design is a game-changer, offering scalable solutions that adapt to project needs while ensuring resilience and 🌿 sustainability. It’s not just a new technique—it’s a total 🧐 rethink of how we create, assemble, and deliver spaces that are future-ready. Offsite manufacturing is revolutionising the industry by turning the building site into the final stage of a smooth assembly process. This shift from traditional methods to precision-engineered, sustainable, and scalable solutions is transforming our industry from an art into a science. 🚀 One of my favourite quotes from How Big Things Get Done by Prof. Bent Flyvbjerg and Dan Gardner perfectly captures this mindset: 💡”Survival of the fittest doesn’t mean survival of the biggest. It means survival of the most adaptable.” Let’s leverage modular design and standardisation to build a future that is as adaptable as it is efficient. 👍🏻 #ModularDesign #OffsiteManufacturing #Innovation #Sustainability #FutureOfConstruction
